These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Idea2Scratch. By using Idea2Scratch, you agree to these terms.
If you are under the age required by the laws where you live to agree to these terms yourself, please use Idea2Scratch with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Using Idea2Scratch
Idea2Scratch lets you describe an idea and create a downloadable Scratch project based on that description.
You may use Idea2Scratch for personal, educational, and creative purposes.
You are responsible for what you enter into the service and for how you use the projects created by it.
Protect your personal information
Do not enter personal information into Idea2Scratch.
This includes your full name, home address, phone number, email address, passwords, school name, or private information about yourself or another person.
If you accidentally enter personal information, please contact us using the Contact page.
Acceptable use
You must not use Idea2Scratch to:
- Create or distribute illegal content.
- Create content intended to seriously harm or threaten someone.
- Create hateful or harassing content targeting people or groups.
- Create sexually explicit content.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy rights, or other rights belonging to someone else.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Idea2Scratch or its systems.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, damage, or interfere with the service.
- Use automated tools or scripts to abuse the service or bypass reasonable usage limits.
- Attempt to bypass safety, security, or other restrictions.
We may limit or suspend access when necessary to protect the service, its users, or our systems.
Generated projects
Idea2Scratch creates projects automatically from your description and the project plan.
Generated projects may:
- Be different from what you expected.
- Contain mistakes or incomplete features.
- Require additional editing in Scratch.
- Not work correctly in every situation.
Generated projects are provided as a starting point. You should review and test a project in Scratch before sharing it or relying on it.
Your content and intellectual property
You are responsible for the descriptions and other content you provide to Idea2Scratch.
You should only add images, sounds, text, code, or other material to a project when you have the right or permission to use that material.
You retain whatever rights you have in the original ideas and material you provide to the service.
The legal rights that may exist in automatically generated material can vary depending on the material and the laws that apply. Idea2Scratch does not guarantee that a generated project is protected by copyright or that you will have exclusive rights to it.
You are responsible for checking that your use and sharing of a generated project does not infringe someone else's rights.
Copyright and other rights complaints
If you believe a project or other content created or shared through Idea2Scratch infringes your copyright or other legal rights, please contact us through the Contact page.
We may review and take appropriate action on valid complaints.
Scratch and Idea2Scratch
Idea2Scratch is an independent service.
Idea2Scratch is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Scratch, the Scratch Foundation, or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Scratch is a project of the Scratch Foundation in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab.
Availability
We try to keep Idea2Scratch available and working, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free.
The service may be changed, temporarily interrupted, or discontinued.
Features, generation rules, usage limits, and supported project types may also change over time.
No guarantee about generated projects
Idea2Scratch does not guarantee that a generated project will:
- Match your description exactly.
- Work without errors.
- Be suitable for a particular purpose.
- Be accepted or displayed correctly by every version or environment of Scratch.
You are responsible for reviewing and testing generated projects before using or sharing them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Idea2Scratch and its operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage resulting from your use of the service or from projects created using the service.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under the laws that apply to you.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, its features, or applicable legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If you continue to use Idea2Scratch after the Terms have been updated, your use of the service will be subject to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
